How to Experience LEAF Festival and Deep Roots Fest

Some gatherings feel less like events and more like traditions you step into. LEAF Global Arts Festivals are one of those.

Rooted in music, cultural exchange, and creative exploration, LEAF has long invited people of all ages to come curious and leave connected. In 2026, that spirit continues — with new formats, fresh energy, and beloved rhythms carried forward thoughtfully.

While this year looks a little different — including a new fall festival setting and a one-day spring celebration in place of the traditional retreat — what remains is the heart of LEAF: global sounds, shared stories, hands-on workshops, and a community that feels both expansive and close-knit.

Here’s how to experience LEAF in 2026.

How Do I Attend LEAF Festival?

The heart of LEAF comes alive each fall with the LEAF Festival — a multi-day celebration of music, global arts, storytelling, dance, workshops, and community connection. In 2026, LEAF Festival returns October 16–18 in a brand-new location, bringing a fresh setting and expanded creative possibilities for attendees.

Though the exact venue is still being revealed, this festival will continue LEAF’s tradition of immersive programming for all ages: from global headliners and intimate workshops to healing arts spaces, youth performances, cultural activations, and shared adventures under the Blue Ridge skies.

As you plan your fall LEAF getaway:

  • Buy tickets early — many tiers and packages encourage planning ahead.
  • Look for lodging and camping details as they’re announced (details vary by location year-to-year).
  • Expect the festival to be a living blend of global artforms, community stories, and local spirit.

Does LEAF have a new event?

Although the traditional spring LEAF Retreat isn’t happening in 2026, LEAF is presenting Deep Roots — a one-day, family-friendly festival on May 30 that brings together music, performances, and community celebration in the warmer months at Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain. Expect local musicians alongside youth performers with ties to LEAF’s global arts education programs, creative activities, and the warm atmosphere that makes LEAF gatherings feel like home.

Check back soon: The time for this event has yet to be set. We’re updating this page with confirmed 2026 dates and lineup highlights as LEAF publishes them.
