Went to the Portugal the Man show 12-8-25. The first act La Luz start on time and were pretty good. Nice harmony and melodic. Then Portugal the Man's John Gourley started with aloud rant onto a chant with political rhetoric. He got his share of well deserved Boo's. The venue should have limited this as it was loud and hateful. I've seen POTM once before different cause support made in less obtrusive way. acceptable way. I will never see them again. It felt like being trapped and receiving a lecture when all I came and paid for was good music. Their set was unfamiliar and very different from the music I know by them, I think from a new CD. It didn't work for myself or my wife not melodic with unintelligible lyrics'.
Now about the venue. Line of sight not good for the average person due to the standing area is not sloped. If you want a mixed drinks you must go to the bar downstairs, a bit of a walk with a ridiculous line, almost comical. Since it was so much time I got a double for my wife. Brought it upstairs and everything was fine for a while than security came over and wanted to take my wife's drink away They said it wasn't allowed in the upstairs area where the band played  Didn't see any signs so we were kind of takin aback. The security guard saw our confusion and very nicely offered my wife another drink and came back with a premix in a can which we were happy with. Bottom line absolute minimum seating in the back with limited view however you can buy seats in the back some one step up with better view, only a dozen or so available.

Place average to odd! Political rhetoric not appreciated. Music mixed. Odd thing I liked the opening act best

BEWARE - while attending an event at The Orange Peel, I was harassed by several employees.  During this time, I was experiencing side effects from my prescribed cancer medication.
I stumbled slightly, and rather than responding with understanding or concern, the employees present made comments and assumptions that were dismissive and accusatory and kicked me out.. When I attempted to explain, I was not listened to and my explanation was disregarded. The behavior I experienced was humiliating, hurtful, and completely inappropriate. Several people found me outside after the show and said disappointed they were with the actions of the employees and would not return to this venue. 

BEWARE - I had been warned before the show that the employees were  disrespectful and rude, but this took it a step beyond

The staff at the Orange Peel is incredible. I had several great interactions. I had stood in the wrong line for merchandise and the bartender took care of what I needed and gave me a complimentary drink. The acoustics are good. The staff handled the large crowd with ease and we had a very enjoyable time.

I have repeatedly tried to share this review but keep getting told im using "vulgar language "even though there is no vulgar.language in my review.Wish I could have saw my favorite artist somewhere else. I'll start by saying I did not see one single staff member looked anything but ticked off the entire time I was there. I drove in from out of state to see Prof, I have been trying for 2 years to get to see him. I got in, made my way toward the front when he took stage. Mind you, it's standing room, no seating.  This highly intoxicated chick turned around and told me to move, they had "priority tickets". I told her no, we all bought tickets and im just trying to watch the show. Her giant boyfriend and his friend then started using their bodies to push me out of my spot, stepping on my shoes and intentionally blocking my view.  I put my hands up and told them to stop pushing me out of my space.  The intoxicated female turned around and started shoving my shoulder, I pushed her hand off of me and told her not to touch me. A very hateful bouncer came over and demanded I follow him to the side, which I did. He was literally trying to kick me out when thankfully another bouncer came up, I explained what happened and got emotional at this point, I had driven for hours to get to this show. The other bouncer told me I could go back in  to a different  spot. I landed beside some pretty cool people thankfully. The angry bouncer who tried to kick me out stood less than a foot from me THE ENTIRE REST OF THE SHOW. For a single female this was intimidating, distracting, unprofessional and made my skin crawl.  I made a lot of sacrifices to get to see my absolute favorite artist, Prof was amazing as always! But after being blocked, bullied, humiliated and then harassed by an angry man who didn't even bother to find out what happened,  I very very much regret visiting this place.  They ruined a once in a lifetime experience for me and I will never go back or recommend anyone visit this place!

Worst venue I've ever visited.

Great place to see a band play! Bar staff was great! The parking is a little tricky if your not staying in a hotel downtown so I recommend getting there a little early.

Great music venue
